⚖️ Non-AI lawsuit's verdict may impact AI industry.
You would be mistaken to think that Andy Warhol couldn't be associated with AI, even 26 years after his passing. Currently, the US Copyright Office is deliberating whether Warhol's Prince pieces are "transformative" enough to be considered original works and not tied to the original photographer's copyright.
This decision could have significant implications for copyright disputes involving AI-generated art in the future. It raises important questions, such as when, or if, AI art should be eligible for copyright protection.
🎙️ AI-generated radio stations
Recently, there has been a lot of discussion in the music industry due to the Fake Drake song and Grimes' collaboration with AI. If you have been closely following these developments, you might be interested in an AI-generated radio station on Soundcloud that plays songs created entirely by AI. Surprisingly, these AI-generated songs sound incredibly realistic.
This is my first exposure to AI music, and I must admit that I am impressed. However, I have noticed that the majority of the songs generated by AI seem to fall into the category of modern hip-hop with auto-tuning, rather than the classic hip-hop style. I wonder if this trend is due to the limitations of AI or if it reflects the current musical preferences of listeners.
🤖 Top legal AI startup's Series A is being led by Sequoia.
One of the most prominent venture capitalists has recently spearheaded the Series A funding round for a highly sought-after generative AI startup in the industry. Harvey, a legal AI startup (in case the previous reference was missed), has now gained official support from Sequoia.
This backing will assist Harvey in advancing their legal AI capabilities, such as developing customized models, ensuring data segregation, improving security, and achieving compliance. The stage is set to unlock the potential of LLMs in Law.

The executives expect that AI will have the greatest impact on R&D, sales and marketing, and operations.
Despite the potential impact, most executives are not prepared for AI to fully take over, with 60% stating that their company is 1-2 years away from implementing its first generative AI solution.
Additionally, business leaders are concerned about cybersecurity and data privacy, and the need for skilled talent to implement AI. The widespread adoption of AI presents a significant opportunity for those who can help enterprises implement AI and manage associated risks.
