🚗 Elon Musk teases Tesla FSD trial

Elon Musk recently implied that Tesla might provide a one-month complimentary trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature for all North American cars once the system achieves optimal smoothness, rather than just safety.

Musk stated that Tesla will introduce the trial worldwide once it obtains regulatory approvals and guarantees faultless performance on all roads.

Despite the name, FSD does not fully enable autonomous driving. The current software version only manages some driving responsibilities on highways and city streets, and drivers must remain alert and prepared to intervene when necessary.

✨ Google to update Bard and unveil new language model.

☁️ Hinton: AI > Climate Change

Last week, Geoffrey Hinton's resignation from Google generated significant buzz, particularly as he pledged to prioritize transparency regarding AI safety. His initial statement is striking in its intensity, as he asserts that AI represents a greater existential risk than even climate change.

This is due to the fact that while the solution to climate change is relatively straightforward (i.e., reducing or eliminating the burning of coal), there is no clear remedy for AI-related risks. Although Hinton does not support the recent proposal to temporarily halt AI training, he believes that alignment research should be a top priority and receive ample resources to ensure its effectiveness.
